Өнөөдөр олон улсын ном бэлэглэх өдөр /International Book Giving Day/ тохиож байна. Эл өдрийг 2012 оноос эхлэн өнөөг хүртэл 40 гаруй улсад тэмдэглэх болжээ.
Эл өдрийг тэмдэглэх санааг анх АНУ-д хүүхдийн номын сайтыг нээсэн Эмма Бродмур гэгч гаргаж байжээ. Нэгэн өдөр түүний хүү ээжээсээ “Ном бэлэглэдэг өдөр яагаад байдаггүй юм бэ” гэсэн асуултнаас нь эл баяр анх бий болжээ.
Ингээд, Эмма жил бүрийн хоёрдугаар сарын 14-ний өдрийг “Олон улсын ном бэлэглэх өдөр” хэмээн санаачилж, олон нийтэд зарласан нь дэлхийн олон сая хүний дэмжлэгийг авч, өдгөө өргөн дэлгэр тэмдэглэн өнгөрүүлдэг болсон түүхтэй аж.
Олон улсын ном бэлэглэх өдөр бол хүүхдийн ном авах хүртээмж, дур сонирхлыг нэмэгдүүлэх зорилготой сайн дурын хөтөлбөр тул жил бүрийн эл өдөр хамгийн түрүүнд хүүхдэд ном бэлэглэх учиртай гэнэ.
